  • No account. No email, no password. The app opens, and it works.
  • Nothing leaves on its own. Not at launch, not in the background, not while you type. A request only ever goes because you did something.
  • Offline, completely. On the underground, in a shop with no signal: nothing waits for a connection.

Nothing leaves the phone unless you do something.

This is not a statement of intent: no background job in the app touches the network. These are the actions that open a request, and the last one goes only where you send it. The Privacy page lists them all.

The detail, line by line

  • You scan a barcode

    The code alone goes to Open Food Facts. No device identifier travels with it.

  • You look up a safety recall

    The query goes to RappelConso, the French public service. That setting stays off until you turn it on.

  • You install the language model

    It comes from Hugging Face, it is optional, and it never downloads without you.

  • You hand a task to the phone next to you

    Device to device, with no server in between, and a four-digit code to be sure.

  • You supply the address of a recipe or a calendar

    The app opens that page, with no cookie and no referrer. It never goes looking on its own.

Based on the Google Play “Data safety” declarations of Todoist, Cozi, Sweepy and AnyList, and on what those apps describe publicly. The ZenWorkDaily column does not rest on a Play listing — the app is not published there yet — but on its privacy policy, which sets out everything that leaves the phone. This table compares publicly declared capabilities only: it says nothing about the quality or usability of these apps, which we have not assessed. Checked on September 12, 2026.

What ZenWorkDaily does not do

  • Nothing syncs between two phones. A backup is exported by hand: that is the price of putting nothing on a server.
  • No iPhone version, and no website where you can find your lists.
  • No adverts, no subscription, no paid features. There is nothing to sell, so nothing to collect.
